Supporting Developer Access
On July 1, 2026, Etherscan is cutting their free API capacity. Max records per request drop from 10,000 to 1,000, and the Internal Transactions by Block Range endpoint is being removed from the free plan entirely. Etherscan Changelog.
Reductions are happening across the industry as teams adjust to the market downturn, Blockscout included. We've made infrastructure and cost changes of our own this year to keep operating sustainably.
What we haven't cut is developer access. Our PRO API free tier offers higher RPS, more chains, and more calls than Etherscan's. Our paid tiers also outperform their PRO offerings. To learn more, see our full Etherscan comparison and migration guide here.
We've posted a couple of use cases to show what the PRO API can do: an AI-built dashboard and a multichain portfolio tracker. Take a look as you're planning your next build or if you're looking to reduce your API costs without sacrificing performance.
