Rootstock Global Wallet M2 NFT Badge

The Rootstock Global Wallet just hit its second major milestone, and there's a fresh badge to mark it.

The Milestone 2 badge celebrates the next big step in the rollout: full Rootstock Global Wallet integration inside the Rootstock Blockscout explorer. Login and on-chain interaction now happen directly in the explorer interface, no extra wallet juggling required.

Mint with the Rootstock Global Wallet and Earn 700 Merits

Merit Rules TL;DR

  • Only wallets using the Rootstock Global Wallet to mint will get 700 Merits
  • Mint Now - before 0AM UTC 21st May to receive Merits
  • Merits distribution: Will occur sometime after 21st May (by the end of May)
  • Mints after 0AM UTC 21st May will not receive Merits

If you mint using the Rootstock Global Wallet, you'll receive a 700 Merits bonus 🎁

You experience the wallet exactly as designed (account abstraction, simplified onboarding, ecosystem-native integration) while earning extra rewards.

How to Mint Your M2 Badge

1️⃣ Go to the Badges Website

Visit the M2 badge page and click Connect your wallet. If you're already connected, first hit Disconnect so you can create or connect with your Rootstock Global Wallet in Step 2.

2️⃣ Select Rootstock Global Wallet

When prompted with wallet options, choose Rootstock Global Wallet.

3️⃣ Create or Connect Your Wallet

  • New users: create your Rootstock Global Wallet (email recommended)
  • Existing Merits users: select Continue with wallet and use the same 0x address you've been using for Merits

This ensures your 700 Merits bonus is credited to the correct address.

4️⃣ Mint Your Badge

Once your Rootstock Global Wallet is connected, mint the Milestone 2 badge.

Merits Distribution Date

To receive the 700 Merits bonus, mint the M2 badge using the Rootstock Global Wallet before May 20.

You can still mint the badge after May 20 to celebrate the milestone, but you'll no longer be eligible for the Merits reward.

Important for Existing Merits Users

If you're already active in the Merits program, create your Rootstock Global Wallet using the same 0x address tied to your Merits activity.

During sign-up, choose the bottom option: Continue with a wallet.

This ensures you mint the badge using the Rootstock Global Wallet, and that the 700 Merits bonus is credited to the same wallet you already use in the Merits program.

What Milestone 2 Delivers

M2 brings the Rootstock Global Wallet directly into the Rootstock Blockscout explorer. That means:

  • Native explorer login with the Rootstock Global Wallet
  • Seamless on-chain interaction without leaving the explorer
  • One consistent wallet experience across the explorer and the wider Rootstock ecosystem

It's a big step toward the vision of shared ecosystem infrastructure: one wallet, one identity, smooth movement between dapps and tools.

A DAO-Funded Ecosystem Upgrade

The Rootstock Global Wallet is funded through a governance proposal approved by the Rootstock Collective DAO. The goal: stronger onboarding, a consistent wallet experience across dapps, testing gas-sponsored transactions, and better developer tooling via the SDK.

This is shared ecosystem infrastructure, a coordinated step toward smoother adoption across Rootstock.
