Blockscout EthCC and ETHGlobal Brussels Highlights

Our scooter wheels bounced along bumpy cobblestone as we headed to the heart of Brussels and the SQUARE came into view, a grand venue for the largest Ethereum conference in Europe. The big E(thereum) energy at EthCC was palpable, and we set off to find our colleagues and friends, partners and allies, spreading the message of open-source exploration for the public good.

It was a breeze to connect with the community this year! So many projects recognized the Blockscout shirts and approached us to ask questions, thank us for an open-source explorer, inquire about our upcoming roadmap, or just say Bonjour.

⭐️ We had a chance to speak several times at the conference, presenting on DApp security and the evolution of Blockchain explorers.

⭐️ We attended amazing side events put on by our partners and met with many supporters to talk about what's coming next for Blockscout.

⭐️ With more than 1000 projects and rollups actively using Blockscout, we ran into friends on every corner!

EthGlobal Hackathon

As the conference wound down, the EthGlobal hackathon picked up, and we took another bumpy ride down to the EGG hackathon venue. Large halls were jam packed with tables for hackers, and the Big D(eveloper) energy took over.

We were a proud top-tier Presenter sponsor and had a booth with the best swag by far (according to at least one attendee angling for a custom backpack 😄). It was a 36 hour hacking marathon; in the end over 100 projects submitted to the Blockscout bounty, with 95 qualifying for a share of our 20k pool prize!

Friends, Waffles & Hotpot

Working decentralized, in different timezones, continents, and cultures, is challenging for any team. It's the norm in the crypto space, and a reason why these events are so powerful (and exhausting)! For a week we have a chance to break out of our bubbles and meet some of the remarkable folks working to make our world more transparent, trustless, and secure. It provides scale and perspective, and renews faith in the mission and all of the humans making it possible.
