Alibaba Cloud and Blockscout Announce Strategic Alliance to Power the AI-Driven Future of Blockchain Intelligence
Alibaba Cloud and Blockscout collaborate to advance AI access to blockchain data, exploring new ways for artificial intelligence to interact with onchain data.
Alibaba Cloud, the global top cloud provider and AI innovation leader, and Blockscout, the open-source blockchain explorer powering 3000+ blockchains, today unveiled a strategic partnership to revolutionize AI access to blockchain data. This collaboration merges Alibaba Cloud’s industry-leading AI infrastructure with Blockscout’s real-time, multichain indexing capabilities.
Together, the two companies will co-innovate across three key pillars to unlock unprecedented AI access to blockchain data, accelerating innovation for developers, enterprises, and decentralized communities worldwide.

Long-Term AI Co-Innovation Initiative and Strategic Partnership in AI Advancement
Alibaba Cloud and Blockscout will explore the development of autonomous AI agents and foundation models specialized for blockchain ecosystems:
- AI Agents: Co-development of onchain agents capable of monitoring, alerting, transacting, and even negotiating based on real-time data, powered by Alibaba’s Qwen large language models and Blockscout’s live chain feeds.
- Foundation Models: Joint training of “Chain-LLMs”, creating large foundation models pre-trained on multichain transactional data, smart contract code, and governance logs, to serve as the cognitive layer for next-gen dapps.
Cloud Infrastructure Cooperation: Scaling Blockchain Data for AI Workloads
Blockscout will leverage Alibaba Cloud’s globally distributed, high-performance cloud infrastructure to scale its indexing and querying services across EVM and non-EVM chains, by migrating and optimizing its core indexing and API infrastructure on Alibaba Cloud’s global platform to support AI-scale data processing.
This infrastructure partnership ensures Blockscout can serve millions of queries per second with sub-second latency - critical for AI training and inference workloads.
MCP Project Cooperation
The Blockscout MCP Server, hosted on Higress, Alibaba Cloud’s open-source API gateway for AI applications. The server enables AI agents and large language models, such as Qwen, to query blockchain data in structured, contextual formats.
Features include address and contract analysis, token and NFT lookups, transaction histories with human-readable summaries, and decoded event logs across more than 80 blockchains.

“Through this collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, we are redefining what a block explorer can be,” said Eva Zhang, CEO of Blockscout. “Explorers have always been the starting point for onchain discovery, and now we are extending that role to include AI agents that can make data lookup, inspection, and analysis faster, easier, and more useful for both developers and everyday users.”
This partnership establishes a long-term AI co-innovation framework focused on developing cutting-edge AI technologies specifically designed for blockchain data analysis. The initiative aims to create standardized methodologies for AI-blockchain integration, foster joint research initiatives, and establish industry benchmarks for AI-driven blockchain applications.
